Here and There Bird Calls
This book introduces the calls of eight different North American birds that children can easily imitate. By reading the clues about each bird, hearing its call, and pulling the tab to see its colorful feathering, children are soon able to identify the sounds and appearance of the killdeer, American robin, barred owl, eastern towhee, northern cardinal, black-capped chickadee, red-winged blackbird, and northern bobwhite. Kids play the sounds, lift the flaps, and pull the tabs. Batteries are replaceable. Written by Frank Gallo, illustrated by Lori Lohstoeter. Recommended age: 4-8
