The nuns began making dolls like Little Red Riding Hood, as well as other fairy tale dolls (see the other characters to the right), to support their modest lifestyle. As demand for these beautiful, handcrafted dolls grew, the nuns reached out to the surrounding village folk for help in creating these dolls. Purchases of Little Red Riding Hood helps the nuns live modestly while also helping the local community.
